"Beauty Mirror" 2007. Mirror, specialized polarization filters, bulbs, plastic, print, aluminium construction. 4x6x0,5 m. Scuoletta di San Giovanni Battista e del SS Sacramento, Venice, Italy |
With the help of special bulbs and layers of polarization filters and other filters, Beauty mirrors bring about properties of reflected and radiated light that affect the skin in the so-called “therapeutic window” of the light-wave spectrum (from 600 nm to 1400 nm), when light enters the deepest layers of the skin. This regenerates cells, improves microcirculation, renews facial skin, and makes one more beautiful. In this work the physical properties of light have been aligned with the physical indicators in compliance with European certification of the light therapy method employed in beauty salons and clinics.
